Disney Wants to Release 2 to 3 Star Wars Movies per Year!

The new trilogy just got it’s first magazine cover from EW and according to “geek tyrant” there’s an interesting and even shocking info in one of the articles. Read after the break:

“Disney is going to re-launch Lucasfilms Star Wars franchise in 2015 with Star Wars: Episode VII. When this awesomeness was first announced, they said that we would be getting one new Star Wars film every two years. It looks like we’re going to get a hell of a lot more Star Wars than that though!
Fanboys and fangirls are going to be in Star Wars bliss. In a recent interview with EW, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy revealed that the studio wants to pump out “two or three films a year”! How insanely cool is that! It’s crazy to think that there will be a point that every year we will get a new star wars movie!”

Personally I don’t think this is even possible. The only explanation if this is not a typo is that Kathleen was talking for a possible new TV series or animation movie together with the feature film. Seeing how quickly news about Star Wars spread these days, I’m sure we’ll soon get an answer.
