Benedict Cumberbatch: No Offer Has Been Made for Star Wars: Episode 7.

benedict cumberbatch

After numerous rumors that Benedict Cumberbatch has been cast for J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: Episode 7, came the denial by the actor’s representatives. Now Benedict himself puts an end to all that…

The actor spoke to Access Hollywood at the 2013 Toronto Film Festival premiere of “The Fifth Estate.” He said:

“This is the simple truth. J.J. [Abrams] and I have worked together before. I would love to work with him again.

No offer has been made. That is that. And that is that.”

A denial by a rep is one thing, but this is different. Looks like  there really hasn’t been any talk so far. And I still stick to my theory that no cast from the Star Trek movies will be hired for Star Wars. No matter how good they are.

And let me confuse you even more. 🙂

“No offer has been made” does not mean “I have not discussed, nor will I appear, in this movie.” Gotta love the semantics game.

I’m sick of all this rumour bullshit. We were all supposedly getting some news about episode 7 “In the next days” which was over a week ago. Come on Lucasfilm, or Disney, or whoever and give us fans some creadable news.

      Yeah.
I understand all this are rumors, but the “BIG news in a few days” thing was being
reported all over & nothing ever came of it.
This is all just public jerking-off of Star Wars fans.

At least once at least once one actor to be HONEST and to say they don’t offer me a role. I mean 99.99% of actors and their agents use these rumors for PR and they usually say i don’t want that role/movie we will see, may be i wil think about that(when nobody offer them nothink) etc etc etc bullshit.

That is why i love Benedict Cumberbatch. And for his acting of course.
