Who Are The Healer Twins and Why Are They In Star Wars: Episode 7?

Thea and Liana Shengelaya, “The Healer Twins,” are band-mates and med students. So why were they filming in Abu Dhabi? After the jump we’ll delve further into this interesting tid-bit.

Our friends at JediNews have broken a rumor about the twins apparently filming scenes for four days on Episode VII:

What we know for sure is that the Twins were born in Georgia and reside in Abu Dhabi. As we all know JJ and co. is currently shooting in the Abu Dhabi desert on a set that is very reminiscent of Tatooine as his short video from yesterday would suggest.

As Viral reported yesterday: (via TheNational)

Our sources also report that the sets are getting closer to completion, with a “whole world” having been built on an otherworldly salt lake at one location, a “shuttle-like” spacecraft, a large tower, a “big, centuries-old-looking market”, something the crew are reportedly referring to as the “alien house” and 10 to 15 “really fast buggies” powered by jet engines.

This location could support a building also familiar to Star Wars fans:

The twins don’t claim to be actors, but both were in the shoot per their Instagram:

“Actually we went.”

Anyone care to hazard a guess as to what type of characters they were playing? Perhaps???

Or the daughters of the Tonnika twins???

I really hope we don’t see any podracing. A matter a fact, any type of racing is going to bring back bad memories of TPM.

But I guess they have to reach their quota of scenes they can turn into video games:P

Lucas put a lot of race type scenes in the OT. The trench run is an example. Then you have the speeder bikes.

Exactly – different “racing” type scenes in each film, using different types of vehicles and situations.

Rehashing the pod race wouldn’t exactly be the best way to go, IMHO. But I fully expect some sort of racing/chase scene in Episode VII to carry on the grand tradition.

I doubt we’ll see podracing, but almost ever Star Wars film has a racing/chase scene that’s completely different from the others. The buggies they were speaking of could have something to do with that. It’ll most likely be some kind of new vehicle we’ve never seen before. I’m melting with anticipation just thinking about how cool this movie is going to be.

instead of pod racing how about a space race with the falcon and other ships racing around moons, asteroids, etc….. that would be cool….and at the end Hans son and chewie win the race on the upgraded engine of the falcon…

Ep 1: pod racing, Ep 2: the speeder scene with Zam, Ep 3 the whole beginning scene, Ep 4: the tie fighters, Ep 5: more tie fighters, Ep 6: Endor speeders. Yep, there’s a lot of racing and chase scenes in here.

I bet those Hanson twins, or whatever they’re called, were just there to do some sweeping up, and they made a big deal out of it like they’re gonna actually be IN the movie or with speaking parts & everything.

That’s an unkind remark, unless you’re trying to intimate that they’re related to Adam Driver’s character and play minor roles.
They’re very pretty girls and if they can act, they’ll most likely have solid careers in the movie business.

and pod racing has been done, I doubt this will be re-visted and would suggest a dramatic chase scene is more likely. I can’t help but ponder, the thought of retuning 2 tattooine and how this will fit into the story of an Ancient Fear, Luke was serious when he said “I’m never coming back to this rock” hmmmm! soo why? Solo or Leia or both? I was reading recently a rumour about the idea that the duro were Captured and held prisoners for some time, perhaps this could be possible somehow, Solo was Jabba’s best smuggler, it is clear that the both of them had long time relationship. After Jabba’s death, I can only imagine that those responsible for his downfall would surely have to pay, every bounty hunter in the galaxy would be after their blood, I can see Luke returning to tattoine to sort this out, maybe with the Solo kids in tow as well. Thing I have always loved about Star Wars, it’s not like one continuous story, but is layered with stories within stories within stories. I don’t know why, I just have that funny feeling that Ahsoka Tank is going to appear and would be thrilled if Kyle Katarn was in there too, X Imperial forces, I’m excited about. the force element’s coming into play thus far, thanks for creating this site Viral, awesome dude… Toddy new zealand
