UPDATE! Star Wars 7 News Birthday Contest With Many Prizes! And the Winners Are…
On what has become one of the most important days in geekdom and pop culture history, affectionately known forevermore as “D-Day” (as in Disney-Day), the Blog you all know and love was born – October 30, 2012!
Yes, folks, it was just two short years ago that Viral Hide began this Blog on the same day that the amazing Star Wars news broke — that we hardcore fans would be getting a slew of new movies, shows, books and games in the new era of Disney ownership! Viral started up his little one man operation feverishly scouring the internet and other media sources for every scrap of news he could find about the development of the new movie era, specifically Episode VII and the Sequel Trilogy. Little by little he found those tidbits of tasty morsels of rumors, speculations and, yes, even official news and kept us all updated on a daily basis. With that in mind, in the two short years since SW7N’s inception, his one man band has grown into a cast of thousands. Well, maybe not thousands, but a modest little staff of Bloggers. BUT that’s not all!
This past summer Viral Hide and company launched a great new message board forum called “The Cantina.” The Cantina is easily one of the fastest growing forums on the net as we greet new members every day into our wretched hive of scum and villainy. So in honor of StarWars7News’ second birthday we cordially invite everyone to join The Cantina forum! Those of you who join up and begin your posting adventure will have taken your first step into a larger world. Once you set up your account and upload an avatar, the last step you need to take is answer 3 simple questions which automatically registers you for a chance to win 1 of 4 great Star Wars prizes! How do you upload an Avatar?
I don’t think we can now.
The avatar upload is for the Cantina. Here we never had the option to upload an avatar. Only people using their social accounts had avatars. Still 95% of the posters here are using the anon or name only option so we decided to use one avatar for all posters. The great benefit is that now a page even with 400 comments loads fast without any more buttons to press.
