Is this an ongoing? I thought I read that it was originally a mini series?
I believe this is a limited run just like the Leia series.
It’s an ongoing series that will be publsihed in arcs. Hence the “Last Padawan” title, there will be more stories in the series–and gaps–to be filled in later.

It’s grunge! All the kids are talking about it these days.
i do hate the design of the battle droids. what happened to all the cool ww2 influences that the OT used? battle droids look like insectoid robots from a lesser franchise.
Oh! I love your originality! A comment bashing the prequels? I’ve never seen that before in my life!
Lucas made the Droids look like a direct contradiction against the Republic/Empire, because that’s what it is. It also foreshadows the fact that they’re all dead-meat, hence not around by ANH days.
However within that frame of mind, the design did fall short.
He made the droids look like an ant army, when I would have rather them be a gnarly grasshopper/scorpion army, or made the droids look like this guy

Gundam like in Star Wars… MMMh ain’t see that.
BTW guys… what about this? Wouldn’t be cool as the new stormtrooper?

First off, I think Gundam with the geometric clunky structure is a way better starting point than Apple’s I-Bug,
and 2nd off, NO. That is not a stormtrooper.
I find the battle droid quite moebius-like, not Apple. Anyway, it’s true that they went the “organic way” for the prelogy and I’m not a big fan of that. I’d prefer industrial shapes, but Gundam is just a referent that feels out of place for me, and besides it seems much more stronger than a Stormtrooper.
Now this ia the art quality Star Wars deserves: nice and consistent drawing and pretty strong page structure. At last.
The art looks amazing. My favorite of all the books thus far.
