Whoever edited these trailers knew what they were doing. Each and every one is amazing! Hopefully this means good things for the Force Awakens trailers in the future.

Why is this such a big deal? Why the hell does anyone even care about SW digital downloads? All SW fans own every movie and their multiple incarnations anyway so what is the BFD?

Unless it’s the original cut, I’m not buying.

Interesting that there are no Episode titles, like The Force Awakens. Also, did they re-record Yoda’s “Begun, the Clone War has” line? It sounds different. Padme also sounds like a chipmunk…

Not yet… Reliance mediaworks did the 4k transfer of the OT already. I have a feeling those won’t be available until 4k bluray hits the market later this year. Orrrr maybe they will release them as a separate package to promote Episode 7.

There seems to be little point to this new collection if you already have the blurays… unless if they remastered the audio or something like that. What you have on the blurays will be far superior to the digital versions.

I do wonder if this is just a downscaled Reliance Media transfer, or if they’re using the old blu-ray transfers for this Vudu stuff.

It’s gotta be the bluray transfers, they didn’t process the PT, only the OT.

The benefit is more of a convenience of being able to watch it on a tablet or phone when traveling as opposed to having to keep track of a bunch of disks and a portable DVD or Blu Ray player that is much bulkier than a phone or tablet. Cutting down the amount of stuff you carry around to keep kids entertained while on a long trip is a big plus.

I already have my collection on blu-ray, besides why should I buy a virtual thing instead of a phisical one with more value?

Blu-ray has a higher bitrate as well. If it’s actually a new transfer and remastering, however, they might have fixed the terrible color timing of the blu-ray.

I’ll maybe get ESB since its the least altered of the OT.

Regardless of whether they are better, would be nice to have the original theatrical versions. That’s how I want to remember them.

How? They added mostly bad looking CG and not much of worth..

I believe it’s for people who for some odd reason are going all digital. I’m not fully convinced to go 100% digital, so excuse my skepticism I must be too old to get it. Thought about changing to Sling but still missing key channels I want and I’ll prob go dig for gaming on my Xbox soon but the limited HDD makes it so you can only fit so much on there. Guess I need to invest in a cheap external.

You’ll notice how only IV has the 20th Century Fox logo included, while the others do not. Is this the opening for VII we can expect?

Yes, with full fanfare! The way it should be!

If you were to show those trailers to someone who has never before seen the movies they would have so much spoiled. They’re pretty terrible in that sense.

All the new special edition scenes eventually end up on youtube anyway as clips to watch one way or another. Whether it stays up or gets taken down, and re-uploaded again you`ll get to see it without having to burn your pockets. Buying the same stuff over and over again is crazy. Seems like maybe this site gets commission/cash for sending potential customers their way, by advertising their stuff. Nothing wrong with that you gotta pay the bills.
