More Star Wars: The Force Awakens Toy Names Leaked.

2009hasbroposterIt looks like the Meijer store chain jumped the gun and revealed a few tentative toy names for forthcoming products related to The Force Awakens and Star Wars as a whole. Click ahead to see some information on the toy names.

From Jedi Temple Archives:

There will be:

Episode 7 3.75″ Vehicle Assortment $19.99

Episode 7 6″ Figure Assortment $19.99

Star Wars 7 Figures $19.99

Star Wars Jedi Master Yoda $179.99 (may not be Hasbro related)

Star Wars Episode 7 3.75″ Battle Action Millennium Falcon $139.99

Episode 7 Star Destroyer Playset

The site later updated this list with a few pictures. Also among the toys listed above are The Force Awakens-themed Black Series figures, a Stormtrooper “Type A” figurine, and the Jungle/Space and Desert/Snow toy packs, first mentioned in the reveal from Argos – with visual confirmation that these four environments will be tied to The Force Awakens. Something else worth noting is that they say the toys will appear on shelves on July 27. This is almost certainly not happening, but it sounds as though someone at Meijer an internal mistake, which is why these names have leaked out.

Stay tuned for more Star Wars news as it breaks.

3.75″ scale vehicles but 6″ figures. Logic.

Hm. I guess it’s cool to have the options these days as opposed to the days of our youth… but still, the pricing on some of these things (and Lego I’m looking at you too) and the fact that even grown adults need to save up quite a bit just to get them is astounding.

As for the link in the article, the JTA website shows an image of some toy boxes.

Does this image reveal (exclusively) the Episode 7 vehicle assortment boxes?

If so, one of the boxes delivers a huge spoiler. If I am not mistaken, there is a Boba Fett picture on the box. (Next to the Han and Chewie box.)

Not sure if that’s Fett or Captain Phasma
Looks like Fett but not sure

Not Phasma, it’s Fett – but TFA or not, that is the question.

Those are not TFA vehicle boxes on display. They are current Hot Wheels toys of the OT. Notice the young Han with Chewie.

Probably you are right, but there are SW Hot Wheels boxes with TFA pictures as well, for example I found a box with a First Order Stormtrooper image. (Just use google.) It contains one item.

If you look at the image in question carefully, on the left there are the OT boxes with two items and on the right there are the new TFA boxes with one item. (???)

The package is different – no question.

Why do so many people complain about Lego being so expensive? They used to be way pricier for what you got. Sets averaged 15-20 cents per piece back in the 90s and early 00’s if not more. Now they run like 10 cents apiece. The price of lego adjusted for inflation has actually dropped.

Probably because they want 200 dollars for plastic Lego’s?????

Wonder if the Falcon is a new mould, or the old stubby fat one from years back, for $140 it should be.

The Millennium Falcon 2008 (BMF) was awesome. Especially in vintage packaging. The same goes for the redesigned larger AT-AT which followed.

Re-release both of them in TFA packaging.

That would be Disney’s 10 cm figure vehicles. The 6 inch figures have additional neat Tie-Fighter for $169.99! You must be referring to Star Wars 7!

I collected pretty much every figure from 1996-2011 and then gave up when the distribution became horrible. I was glad I did as the quality started to quickly go down hill. Now, I have about 12 storage tubs filled with figures in my basement, and I’m looking to sell them.

Or will it turn out that he survived death & be given robotic arms, legs, torso, etc?

Disney and Lucasfilm have a casting call for E8. It also shows a list of main characters Rey, Finn, Leia Organa, Luke Skywalker, Poe Dameron , and Han Solo. I believe Chewie dies in E7 now. Why would JJ copy a novel in EU that had Chewie die?

Where did you hear about the casting call for EpVIII? I’d like to know how accurate that character list for the next film is.

If it’s off IMDb, then it’s likely garbage…

Here’s what I found on the supposed casting call: http://www.moviecastingcall.org/2015/07/casting-call-and-auditions-information-for-star-wars-episode-viii.html

Anyone know how legit this is? Or whether they’d actually have insight on whether or not Harrison Ford is actually returning for EpVIII? I thought I read a long while back that Ford signed a deal for 3 films, but I don’t know how accurate that information was. (It could be true, but the other two possibly as Indiana Jones appearances?)

There are many Chewbacca toys! If Disney wants new characters for better sales (like Boba Joe) they need to eliminate ones redundant like Yoda! Even R2-D2/C-3PO!? I don’t see money in more 6 inch Chewbaccas either!

One of the owners of a reputable online toyshop alluded to some information that Hasbro has sent out about the products to come…

He said the play sets are linked to the 2.5″ figure line…so they aren’t exactly what many toy collectors were waiting for; more like the old Micro Collection play sets instead of 3.75″ or 6″.

I would guess the $179 Yoda would be a 1/6 figure from Hot Toys. Should be amazing. The price point would be about right.
