Speculation: The Dynamic of the Three Villains
With the names of our three main villains for Episode VII having now been revealed join Bluestreaking as he again attempts to formulate some sort of idea of what we may be seeing on screen. Click the jump to read Bluestreaking’s theories regarding how our villains will interact with each other.
Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma, General Hux. As of this moment it is uncertain how much of Supreme Leader Snoke (played by Andy Serkis) we will see in the upcoming film but we do know that these three will be the primary antagonists of Episode VII. Interactions between villains have taken many forms in Star Wars.
As intimidating and powerful as Vader was in Episode IV Tarkin still held control over the Sith Lord. I don’t think any of us questioned that Vader could crush Tarkin with a flick of his wrist but Tarkin had both earned Vader’s respect and technically outranked him, although where exactly Vader stood in the Imperial chain of command is up to debate.
In the Maul/Sidious relationship of Episode I Darth Maul served as little more than an attack dog. While later appearances in The Clone Wars gave him an ambition of his own, on film Maul was purely a subservient apprentice without the cool power of Vader.
Variations of these sort of relationships are found throughout the Star Wars cinematic and expanded universe. Three villains has been touched on before with the relationship between Nute Gunray, Darth Sidious, and Darth Maul but it was mostly a case of Darth Sidious manipulating both parties simply for his own personal gain. What follows is my own personal speculation, some of it based off rumors, but consider my ultimate goal similar to my previous article concerning the First Order. I’m throwing speculation at the wall and seeing what sticks.
So far the only villain we have seen with a lightsaber has been Kylo Ren. Because of this Kylo has immediately drawn comparisons to our well known Sith Lords. Outside of one minor instance the lightsaber has been wielded by Jedi or Sith, both religious orders technically outside of the hierarchy of the government they serve. For example, if Darth Vader had a rank what would it be? Darth Vader was entirely outside of the Imperial chain of command, and if I’ve learned anything growing up on military bases it’s that disruptions to the chain of command don’t make soldiers happy. Now in Episode IV Darth Vader’s reigns were held by a military man, Grand Moff Tarkin. The only possible equivalent to Tarkin we have so far in Episode VII is General Hux.
Now Hux has an actual rank within the First Order, it appears that Kylo Ren does not. Something that has stuck out to everyone is how young General Hux is for someone of his rank. That is why I propose that instead of a Tarkin/Vader relationship for Hux and Kylo we will instead have a dualistic antagonism between the two villains. I think that the two will severely dislike each other and suffer from competing world views. Kylo thinks Hux is getting in the way of his greater mission while Hux views Kylo as a spoiled aristocrat who interferes too much in military matters. I feel like a great point of contention will arise between the two with Captain Phasma
Phasma appears to be a tool of Hux’s based on the SWU scene of them depicted together. A character with this great of a design is obviously meant to be memorable and she has already drawn some comparisons to Boba Fett. I ascribe to the theory that she is tasked with hunting down Finn, but I think she will be directed to do so by Kylo Ren. This angers Hux who feels that Kylo is taking one of Hux’s most important assets at a critical time for the First Order. I have also had the theory that while Kylo Ren is hunting down the lightsaber he convince Hux and Phasma that Finn instead has intelligence on the First Order he will give to the Resistance. As important as the lightsaber is to Kylo he wouldn’t be able to justify such a use of force for it without some manipulation. Of course with our three villains bickering with each other there needs to be someone who can reel them all in and keep them under control, when Kylo and Hux butt heads this one will step in and resolve the dispute. Now I have my own theories but you can provide your own and your thoughts on the relationship dynamic between our villains in the comments below or in The Cantina.
I for one have high hopes for these villains, I wasn’t originally that big on the idea of the chrome-trooper, but the images and descriptions have me sold. I can’t wait to see how Chrome-trooper plays out on-screen.

I think kylo and hux will get along and be peers not hate each other
Wasn’t Vader’s title Supreme Commander or something like that?
Darth Vader is tbe emperor’s champion.
He’s a Count. “Lord Vader”.
Ialways thought Lord is for Sith Lird.
His status as Sith Lord is not an imperial rank but part of a seperate system.
Sure, yet that wasn’t what I was responding too. Only that the Lord in his title doesn’t make him a count
I get what you are saying, and think you are on to something. Given that the emperor was – an emperor, when Vader is referred to as Lord Vader by the military, it makes sense that they are referring to a lordship granted to Vader by the Emperor, and not the whole ‘dark lord of the sith” thing.
Darth Vader was “Executor,” analogous, as you say, to “Supreme Commander.”
Executor was the name of Darth Vader’s Super Star Destroyer. Lord relates to him being a Dark Lord of the Sith. I am not sure if this title is from Legends or not but didn’t he hold the title Supreme Commander of the Imperial Fleet.
Vader’s title of “Lord” is mentioned in the movies and fully canonical. In Empire, an officer goes to “apologize to Lord Vader” after losing the Millennium Falcon, and in Episode III, I seem to remember Palpatine referring to the newly-turned Anakin as “lord Vader” repeatedly.
Yes, he is referred to as Lord Vader because he is a Dark Lord of The Sith.
He doesn’t hold a rank in the Imperial military like the jedi did in The Clone Wars. He simply goes and does as he wishes for the most part, he simply obeys the Emperor as well as any high ranking Imperial officer such as Grand Moff Tarkin, or Grand General Tagge. Probably, mostly due to the emperor’s command.
How about… “associate”
it sounds more ominous if you say it slowly in a british accent while petting a cat.
In early drafts of Return of the Jedi, there was going to be an Imperial General that falls into a power struggle with Vader. In the original film Vader clashes with the Imperial military brass too. My theory is that Vader was like the Emperor’s Luca Brasi in the first film – an enforcer but not a power broker. After Tarkin dies in the Battle of Yavin, Vader absorbs more power in the Empire.
I will see this movie multiple times in the theater no matter what my eventual opinion of J.J. is. Then I will see R1 and Ep. VIII, etc. etc.
I have no doubt that it will rival the prequels. I trust Disney more than J.J. at this point. What they have done with my beloved Marvel characters can not be ignored.
As soon as I knew Disney had it, I got a Star Woody. Many whined, I said about time. Sure, they will kid up some of it, but they will do great movies.
Hell, SW has always been kid-friendly. Nothing wrong with that. After all, it made me into a fan as a toddler before Jedi even came out.
One of the best things about TGFFA is that it’s good for people of all ages.
Agree completely, as long as the movies don’t turn into the Clone Wars Cartoons.
In case you were referring to the Clone Wars as ‘childish’, the later seasons are FAR from that.
Exactly. Impaling and beheading hardly falls under “kid-friendly” territory.
Serkis was present for the table read… so I imagine his part/ Snoke will be more important to TFA than we realize, we just don’t know that much about him right now.
So was Max Von Sydow, and he might die in the very first scene.
Max wasn’t at the table read.
Gleeson too young to be a general.
If he was too young they would have cast someone older.
In times of War, young people end up being promoted as there’s no one else
His character’s name is General Hux
TFA is about family. Hux is not the son of Luke or any Skywalker.
yes he is. and thats part of the reason why he is that age. it stinks but that is the thing here, surprise twist for the next movie not this one. betchya
Bull
The real-life Napoleon was a general at 26.
Anakin was a general…
so was luke. he started out as nothing in the attack on the death star as just some recruit pilot . by the time we see him in ESB hes already a genral @ age 23. the skywalkers have military and war in their blood.
Luke is a commander in ESB, if memory serves. Han, on the other hand, mysteriously gets promoted to general while frozen in carbonite.
I think there is more to Gleeson character than we know. I still wouldn’t be surprised if the rumors weRE still true about him being Luke’s kid and is a mole in the first order.
One thing that is evidently clear. Episode VII has a strong ensemble of characters. The old guard, the new guard, and the main First Order characters. Not been this excited about a new Star Wars movie since waiting for the release of Return of the Jedi back in ’83. Very looking forward to the fall trailer release.
You weren’t this exited for Ep. I? I was way more exited for Ep. I.
My theory:
Supreme Leader Snoke = Luke Skywalker
(=cyborg)
They try to imply that they are 2 separate characters, but really it’s just 1. The big reveal is the new I am your father moment.
Tell me your reasons please, how can it be Luke if Hamill is signed for the film?
Well, presumably because he’ll be playing Luke in the movie, regardless of whether for not Snoke makes an appearance in it?
Considering Andy Serkis is playing motion capture-Snoke along with his own voice, there is 0 chance that Luke Skywalker is also Snoke. Hamill is a tremendous voice talent and they would have used him to voice his alternate character, no doubt.
i feel like in the teaser when he says you have that power too, hes talking to his child. he refers to his father sister himself and it would make sense for him to say it to next of kin. maybe rey is his neice or long lost daughter. i think kylo is hans son too. it would make it almost straight out of the EU with the skywalker/solo family fighting.
I just hope the story is good. Real sets and practical effects, CGI, etc only get you so far. The script is what really separates the ranks of movies. And for the record, if everyone in this post along with the ones who run this website always argue that Anakins the chosen one, why do everyone keep calling Kylo Ren a sith ?…. I mean are we gonna stick with it, or are we making changes again ?…….
I’m not sure why the two can’t coexist. Skywalker was the chosen one, but the prophecy was misread, as they often are. I don’t think Ren is a Sith yet, but he’ll want to be one, hence taken actions that may grant himself that wish. I assume Snoke is a Sith, yet to be truly revealed. Ren is, well, Ren.
I always thought Lucas made it about as clear as possible, especially with the release of the clone wars show….that anakin was the chosen one to bring balance to the force. He did so by being the final piece of the jedi’s undoing. They were the ones who brought the force out of balance. Too much light. They were too arrogant. Misread a profiecy and in their arrogance thought the only way for there to be balance, was for it to be completely balanced to that of the good side. But for life in general to be balanced, you need both. The good and the bad. For that’s what life is. That’s why I applaud Lucas. Even most of the audience couldn’t grasp it, and still can’t. The Jedi order was always the problem and had become a horrific, narrow minded joke. To think it was the only answer, and the only way the force should be. It’s really quite genius. Yet people can’t see that. All they see is bad acting and jar jar binks lol. Can’t say I blame them for not being able to look past that and say the genius of it all. But oh well.
Spot on.
Wow exactly! Someone who actually gets it.
Everyone assumed the Chosen One was to be the downfall of the Sith, when the Chosen One was to kick the Jedi off the pedestal they had put themselves on. Remember, in the end the Jedi had decided they were going to rule the Galaxy in abstentia of the Chancellor they were about to overthrow.
Ah I had never thought of that before, sadly the prequel films really were nowhere near intelligently enough made to surface any notions like this to the average viewer like myself. It simply wasn’t there. I like the idea of the Jedi order being shown up as arrogant, but at no point in the films are the Jedi made out to be anything but good and righteous. Even Yoda in the OT looks back fondly on training Jedi in the past, there’s no hint that he or the Jedi were doing anything wrong.
And then Anakin kills kids after being played like a fool by the obvious bad guy so the whole series ends on a bit of a whimper and no real conclusion, no coherent story was really told. Bad script + bad casting = meh.
I trust that JJ and Kasdan have enough sense and good ideas to really make something layered, logical and emotional this time around, with interesting characters and unexpected plot points. I cannot wait to see what they’ve done!
I agree, but the original reading of the prophecy is balance to the force was to destroy the Sith. Today said the reading was wrong, and Anakin wouldn’t destroy the Sith. In a way, he did, if only for a short time. Unless in the movies there are no Sith, then it is still incomplete. In my opinion at least. Sure, bringing back Sith brings true balance, but who knows. Like is likely very powerful, making it unbalanced. As Anakin was powerful, which is why Darth Sidious needed him so bad. Even though he was strong, he wasn’t strong enough. I agree, Lucus was fine, I like Jar Jar. He brought levity to a serious trilogy. However, I still believe that the prophecy isn’t actually done. We don’t know how Anakin was truly made, only vague notions from Darst Sidious.
Darth Sidious
Technically speaking he killed the Jedi Order as well as the Emperor so he did bring balance to the force full circle. Now, pretty much only Luke and Leia remain as far as canon goes, and maybe a couple other force users in hiding. Which begs the question?
How many more light side, dark side, or neutral force users are out there? I guess we’ll find out in Ep. 7.
To have true balance you must return to nothing (Zen) – no Sith, no Jedi, just “The Force”. While two opposing forces are active there is a constant “ebb and flow”, a never ending struggle to achieve balance. Anakin achieved balance by destroying both the Jedi and the Sith. Luke has maintained that balance by going into exile/hibernation/seclusion, possibly guarding the only known remaining source of Jedi knowledge. With the rise of a new form of dark side power, the “Force must Awaken” to once again balance the Dark and the Light.
It would have been genius to convey those themes effectively. But alas, they didn’t.
I know only big fans would know this, but the Sith also have a prophecy, of a coming of the Sithari. The Sithari was one who would be free of limits, lead the Sith and also destroy them. Now there are different candidates for who fulfilled the prophecy, but Darth Vader is one of them, although when he got burned, he certainly had limits. Anyway, yeah Anakin did fulfil the Jedi prophecy and maybe the Sith one too, just maybe not how either of them expected.
Interesting take but how is Anakin causing what is essentially the extinction of the Jedi bringing balance? Killing the light in favor of the dark is still out of balance.
He killed Darth Sidious, apparently…
I smell a certain point of view lurking about…
Just wondering….
First…no, I wasn’t.
If history can be used again as a guide, any army with any power left but largely defeated has to resource the higher chains of command from younger/lower ranking officers. Hitler at his most desperate was throwing little more than teenagers into the fray against the US and Russia, that’s one idea.
But if Jakku was the place of a great battle that stripped the Empire of its Elites, then the First Order wants to start anew without the ingrained ideals of Palpatine, so having younger more easily moulded Officers might be why Hux is a new breed of General that Snoke can exploit. How Kylo fits in is another question, is he just a rich brat wanting to don the garb and weild a weapon of ancient power or my theory is he is using Finn’s force abilities to make it look like he is in control and when Finn is made to slaughter using that power to show Kylo’s authority he breaks and flees. Hux suspects Kylo is a fraud and gets Phasma to act double agent so finding Finn is a race against Kylo and Phasma. Finn holds the key to Kylo’s deception and a way of uncovering the resistance plans against the first order since Finn gets involved with Rey and Han.
How exactly everything else would fit around that is anyone’s guess. But it is just speculation so if anyone can expand on this or disprove it please do. I want to hear more ideas please 🙂
This is a JJ movie, nothing so complex, just explosions and lots of running and ACTION!
Thanks…no really, thanks…
Look at his username. Troll account.
Thank God, at last!
Yeah, Alias and Lost didn´t get too complicated… mmmm…
JJ didn’t have much input in Lost after the pilot episode, it was down to Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, for the story telling.
I think you forgot Super 8. That movie contains a very good moral message for all us, not to mention its JJ’s tribute to his idol Steven Spielberg.
I want a character driven complex story as much as the next man, these movies are not just for kids, who by the way are a lot more sophisticated and intelligent than they are given credit for.
But can you honestly believe JJ will deliver on this level? because I can’t see it.
Well, Irvin Kershner is not with us no more, unless you’ve seen his Force Ghost around somewhere.
JJ is decent at reviving a series, he’s 2 for 2 so far. Unless Speilberg is walking into Iger’s office, I’ll settle.
Blond brunette & redhead –Charlie’s Darkside Angels
There’s no brunette.

The big bad of ST might be Snoke. But Benicio Deltoro character who is planned to appeare in episode8 will become the true menace for Luke and Ray .
Kylo Ren seems to commit serious murder in TFA, there
could be a room for his redemption. General Hux is one off character, Phasma will be Boba in ST as rumor goes.
Yeagh i agree, Hux wont survive the end like Tarkin in a new hope. I do think big baddie still will be Darth Plagueis and Snoke is just an alias. That reveal is gonna be the big WTF moment and will tie this trilogy to the prequels. Del Toro could be a senator for all we know and wasted ala Jimmy Smits or Terence Stamp.
According to Kasdan , Snoke will be Darth Vegas.
Hux dies in the destruction of starkiller base
see the thing that worries me is that the force awakens will be like a xerox of a new hope storywise : droid with a cargo that everybody is looking for, secret super weapon from the baddies, old mentor passing the torch and dying, final space battle, a cantina sequence, main protagonist stuck on a dead end planet taking a journey into a bigger world, a big baddie wielding a lightsaber who gets away at the end, an escape from the detention blocks by the heroes …..
Exactly my fear, my friend.
I wish Lucasfilm or whoever put those images up @ comicon could have uploaded the high rez images on the net… seeing photos taken of pics on stage is awful! Or does anyone know where they can be found?
New hope like storyline is exactly Disney thinks what SW fan is waiting for and expects making huge money after PT which was artistic risk GL bravely took.
Oooh look Driver is in the middle of that top photo. I thought only females had to appear in the center of pictures!?
Or minorities. But it’s an Evil trio. So it must be a white male. Otherwise it’d be sexist or racist.
Thank you. I thought I was the only one to post on this site that feels the same way. This movie & Rogue One are shaping up to be so PC they may as well be an SNL parody skit of the new & improved Star Wars universe. A real world universe where we had better march in lock step with the liberal’s views or face their wrath.
I will not be forced to say or believe that it is “so cool, & so progressive” to have a woman as a stormtrooper, let alone a stormtrooper commander… In fact it is a complete joke to have a woman in any capacity in the Empire (or remnants of said Empire). Go ahead & keep drinking the Kool aid Hollywood, the media, & left wing politicians keep pouring down your throats, folks… There are a lot more Americans who believe as I do than there are weak-minded but loud & vociferous liberals out there. Watch ten minutes of current political news on any given night & you will see that America is preparing to speak its mind in a revolutionary way. The days of the traditional-America-hating-liberal-view having the fake power they have been granted are numbered.
Why is it wrong to have a female stormtrooper? There are female Army officers. Since when canonically was the Empire sexist? But mostly why do you think that a galaxy a long time ago far far away would in any way align with your self involved philosophy?
The people that continuously go on about female and black Stormtroopers are the real minority.
If I recall, the Soviet Army had female soldiers, as well as the modern day Australian army [to some capacity at least, I’ve seen pics of Australian Soldier ladies with assault rifles].
The only problems posed would be romantic issues affecting the male soldiers – which is soon to be an redundant issue due to increasingly open homosexuality.
The other issue would be their “time of the month” – but it seems modern technology has accounted for most of the inconvenience rendered, at least enough that women are currently on par with male performance in extreme conditions – again, women serve in the military [if not with guns, with one of the other 1,000 jobs],
also women climb Mount-friggin’-Everest, so their physical inconveniences can’t be THAT much of a hindrance.
So, in summation:
the phrase “women can’t function as Storm Troopers” is bullshit.
Bring on She-Trooper!
Who says their species HAS a time of the month. Their from another galaxy.
Um, women can’t function at the same level as men physically. So, this she-trooper nonsense is a thing of fiction. Can they fight? Sure. At the same level? No, that’s not the case. So, women can function as storm troopers. Just not as well. There IS differences between men and women. Both physically, psychologically, and mentally. There is also nothing wrong with these differences as well. Your wanting a SHE-Warrior is quite desperate.
well brienne oof tarth kicked the hounds ass. so maybe phasma will be pretty tough. i hope fett makes a cameo is some way
A fictional setting makes no difference on real life. That character could slaughter a thousand men and it wouldn’t make it any more fantastical.
ITS A SPACE FANTASY FOR YODA’S FORCE GHOST’S SAKE.
Holy crap. Its on you as a human being with a frontal lobe to realize that its fiction and that she can still be a bad ass.
@Truth Teller: That argument is so narrow minded. If a female recruit is able to kick ass then let her crush the rebel scum I say!
Ronda Rousey would beg to differ.
Besides if you are going to argue science, biology and physiology, a Star Wars movie isn’t the place. It will be awesome to see a strong, bad ass woman tearing shit up. And that is what this is all about. Awesome fun.
You guys can’t help yourself, always having to insert your ideology into every conversation.
Every American President apart from one has been an old rich white man. The other one is an old rich black man. Tell me again that opportunity is equal.
We are going to complain that someone wants to diversify Star Wars a little bit? We are being too “pc”?
I assume this revolution you speak of is coming from a bunch of straight white American men? That is the only group that seems to feel racism and sexism don’t exist. The fact that a bunch of white guys are sitting around bitching about a black guy in SW is proof that it is in fact alive and well.
I am a white male American, but I understand that in Mario Kart the guy in first place doesn’t get the best power ups. Deal with it.
Furthermore, it has been said that Boyega’s character was not written as a certain race. When you infer that he was chosen because he is black rather than on his own merits that is in fact racist…You can paint if any way you like but the fact is that you can’t fathom that this man was chosen on his own merits because you can’t see why someone would choose him over a perfectly good white man. You hide behind this reasoning that we are all too “pc”.
When Christopher Lee was cast in AOTC did you assume it was because of the color of his skin?
Didn’t he get the position because he had the best chemistry with Oscar and Daisy who were already chosen? Boyega wasn’t stunt casting people. He got the part because he impressed them and not because he’s black. I’m anti-PC in general but this isn’t that at all.
Agreed, we should have voted in Sarah Palin YEARS ago.
The Force is strong with this one! 🙂
“Or minorities. But it’s an Evil trio. So it must be a white male. Otherwise it’d be sexist or racist.”
Just fall on your lightsaber already.
Oscar Isaac is a white male too, and nobody complaint about he is a hero in the movie.
Oscar Isaac is Latino.
Oscar Isaac is white, please don´t confuse WASP with white.
No, he was born in Guatemala to a Guatemalan mother and a Cuban father. Oscar Isaac isn’t his real name. He changed it to further his career in acting.
White Anglo-Saxon Protestant = WASP?
They are lined up for their height…
Can’t you guys see the bigger picture?
yes, we all know you didn’t like the Vanity Fair front cover. Get over it.
Why should there be Sith in this movie? In the end the Sith have failed, another order of dark Side users could be interesting.
The Sith were destroyed leaving the Force unbalanced as Luke (and Leia technically) are the only known Force sensitives that we know of and are both on the light side. Due to the unbalance in the Force I think that’s why there is an “awakening” especially within the dark side, which will be manifested through Snoke. Will Snoke and Kylo Ren be Sith? Perhaps if you equate being a Sith with the dark side, but I think that the dynamic of the Sith and the Jedi will be very different in this trilogy. I think we can all agree that the Jedi being like monks bound by all those stupid rules in the prequels was pretty dumb, so I think this trilogy will retcon that with Luke’s New Jedi Order
The Jedi Order were based off of real dogmatic orders from the past, and that, as it was, was pulled off in the PT, as Sidious was able to destroy them on different fronts.
Balance does not mean equal number of light and dark users, Sith create imbalance. This has been discussed to death in The Cantina
Some people need a sabermetric based analysis on this.
Snoke will be Plageuis… Since the prequels are still considered canon JJ can tie him into the story because he is referenced by Palpotine at the opera
There are precedents for the youth of the Hux character, both in real life (e.g. Alexander the Great) and in fiction (the character of Achilles from Orson Scott Card’s Bean series – or really any of the young political/military prodigies from these and the Ender novels). I hope they can pull off something just as compelling with the Hux character.
Maybe he’s the son of a powerful figure within the First Order or even the Supreme Leader, and that’s why he’s a general.
Plageuis is the most definithe possibility. Bane is another possibility.
The Clone Wars are still Cannon, and Bane showed up as a force ghost, played by Luke Skywalker, or I mean Mark.
He wasn’t a force ghost. It was a manipulation from the “sisters.” Rewatch it. Sith can’t become force ghosts.
i dont think JJ gives a sh!t about plagues or the prequels. hes more into connecting the OT with the ST. we have not heard much about serkis and MVS. their characters seem to be more mysterious. so snoke will be something totally new. maybe its the emperor cloned or some other embodiment of palpatine like in the EU. i think they would borrow more stories from that.
I do like the idea that Kylo has deceived Hux and Phasma to believe that the Resistance has information on the First Order because why would the First Order be that concerned with a lightsaber? Even Snoke probably wouldn’t care about the lightsaber. It seems like Kylo is a character who goes to irrational means to get what he wants. I like the idea of him being a little off and a bit of a lunatic. Also if the rumor is true about him talking to the Darth Vader helmet wouldn’t the lightsaber being this important to him make sense?
I presume Kylo is not true Sith as Luke was not a true Jedi before ROTJ. As for true antagonist, I hope , will be Benicio character.
Luke will start a new order called the blah-blah-blah (meaning Jedi Order).
the same way Rey lives on Jakku (meaning Tatooine)
the same way there is a hidden base on the snow planet (meaning Hoth)
Regarding Hux’s age, it isn’t that unusual for powerful generals to be very young in times of revolution or when the position is inherited.
No need for that, I understand that Boyega is a poor actor but no need for that…
Yes no need for that. Although I did see him on stage once he was so wooden I thought some one had threw a chair on.
Before I get laser blasted It’s a joke people.
Darth Vader is obviously a Lord since they call him Lord Vader. So he might be a Count of some sort. Counts have no definite rank in the military or navy. As direct subordinates to the King or Emperor they’re pretty much free to do as they wish. Or so I’ve read.
I’m getting a bad feeling about this film. Wish I didn’t but what’s been released so far is a mixed bag IMO. This might be a good feeling though, as to much anticipation will set it up to fail, so maybe JJ is making it look a bit dodgy..
Why in the world are we acting like Vader wasn’t in the military?
He was a famous general in the Clone Wars and seemed to have full command over any and all forces he wanted.
I’m sure it’s not official canon anymore, but I do recall that Vader was the supreme commander of the Imperial Navy.
Darth Vader was not Anakin Skywalker, Skywalker had rank and was referred to as General Skywalker. No one ever said General Vader, there was Lord Vader but no actual rank assigned to him. He controlled the military and had his own personal star destroyer but he existed outside of the Chain of Command
Let’s also remember that the nazi’s had a hodgepodge command structure because the S.S. was military but also a huge part of ideological supremacy, even overruling, on several occasions, the highest ranking pure military members.
Humour me here (Bluestreaking), but has it been officially confirmed that Supreme Leader Snoke is actually Kylo’s, Hux’s and Phasma’s boss?
Or is that just conjecture?
Off the top of my head it’s mostly been conjecture unless you want to take MSW stuff as fact. Jason has made it clear that from what he knows, Snoke is Kylo’s master and there is a scene of Hux reporting to Snoke.
Got you! Thanks!
So it’s possible that some of them may not be directly connected with each other.
General…. would you care to step outside?
Just noticed chromeys a chick
“Just noticed chromeys a chick”
Ya, and this is historically accurate, because we all know how many female knights there were back in the Middle Ages. LOL
Oh wow, TFA is going to take place in the middle ages on Earth? I would have thought this would be more controversial.
“Historically” accurate? Do you think the events in Star Wars are based on a true story?
It is a good thing JJ changed course and cast Christie as Phasma instead of, according to rumor, going ahead with his initial idea of picking some white dude. That spared us all from hearing these clowns on this site crying about white male victimization (which is what they really care about) and instead made them focus on white people victimization as a consolation prize.
Speculation:
Ep.7 –> First Order vs. Resistance
Ep.8 –> The Sith Lords are coming
Ep. 9 –> First Order + Resistance vs. The Sith Lords
I was just thinking the same thing. The Order doesn’t have to be clear cut evil. Good antagonists believe they are doing the right thing.
The fact that a lot of them seem young adds to this notion of them getting swept up in a cause… that maybe they aren’t fully invested in. Perfect example being Finn.
The two sides working together against a greater evil would be epic on screen. Imagine Star Destroyers, TIE fighters and X-wings working together? It’s like the EU only nothing as lame as the Vong!
I like it, I like it. I could see this as possibly Ep 10,11,12 if it goes that far.
Remember the early reports said that this film will be more of the grey side of things, nothing is clear cut good vs evil.
Good plan
PROVIDED that no one utters the line
“…there is a storm coming…”
I friggin’ hate that cliche!
Don’t worry, they won’t say that. The storm will be “brewing”.
It genuinely saddens me to see so much racism in these discussion threads coming from Star Wars fans. Please take your outdated beliefs elsewhere and stop tainting something as special as Star Wars with your pitiful bullshit.
These movies contain characters spanning an entire galaxy — if anything, there could be even more diversity than what we’ve seen so far, and that would be a more “accurate” portrayal of such a vast fictional universe.
I can walk 100 yards outside my house in white-bread Colorado and see more diversity than many of you would feel comfortable with in a Star Wars film. Deal with it, people. Your one-race world is vanishing and leaving you behind.
I hope Boyega nails it and makes the doubters eat their words.
Pitiful bull or can nobody critize boyega? Can we not have an adult conversation about this without it being twisted? Not everything has a hidden agenda. Why can’t st John be critized like ridley or issiac?
Sure he can prove me wrong but am only interested in his acting and to be fair I don’t like it and I don’t think that type of stage acting belongs in star wars.
Who said ANYTHING about what you’re talking about.
There’s valid criticism, and there’s dumb ignorant criticism that is invalid. We’ve seen too much of the latter.
“It genuinely saddens me to see so much racism in these discussion threads coming from Star Wars fans.”
This is nothing. Mark my words: It’ll be FAAARRR worse in December.
Star Wars: The Bigotry Awakens -_-
Don’t worry man, when everybody will go to watch the new film and the success will be so great that no one will dare to say even a simple trace of bigotry right?
At the very least, there will be heavy trolling and lots of negative comments on Boyega. Not that all of it will be racist, but most of it will be stupid and nonsensical, like exaggerations on sweating and heavy breathing.
Get over yourself. If you think that was racism how will you be able to handle the future? Diversity wants to exist. It doesn’t want to get extinct in melting pots. So enjoy nature. You can’t brainwash instinct out of man.
You, good sir/lady, are mistaking Diversity for Xenophobia.
Diversity is a neighborhood where John is White and Clint is Black, and they play Legos together. That’s diversity,
Xenophobia is a neighborhood where John is White and Clint is Black, and they say “oh, you’re a cracker.”
Boyega is a bad actor, BUT he can play a basic character – fair game for SW in my opinion. Mark Hamill was a little wooden in his first film too, give the man time if you really wanna see what he’s got [unless he is the Hayden].
Saying “I don’t like having a black guy as the main character” IS NOT -repeat- NOT Diversity – it’s Xenophobia. Period.
Dude in a hat-
Right on, it’s sad to see this. It’s very Silly.

Those are the odds of Boyega pulling this thing off.
The bigger question though, is TFA an actual StaR WaRs film?
Or is it just racial and gender propaganda disguised as entertainment?
I tend to think the latter.
What would qualify as propaganda for you in this movie? What scenario could possibly play out in the movie that would appear to be propaganda? If the issue is simply casting, then what capability or behavior would be difficult to accept coming from someone of a particular gender or race?
Okay am leaving this here now to apologise for derailing the article. Am sorry if I have carried on but I only did this because I got angry. Am sorry. I just don’t think it right. I would be happy if you could delete my comments am not looking for an argument am just venting my frustration at been called a racist.
I’ll try to forgive you, Anonymous, for the 15 billion racist, sexist, and otherwise unacceptable comments. I respect you finally admitting your guilt after all these years.
condescending victimized croup. You know nothing of me. John is poor actor and I wont be silenced by people by throwing the veil of racism over any comment that does not portray him as a god.
Do you know my family history? Do you know anything of my life? No you don’t. Now leave me alone.
Um, okay, Mr [I have no alias by which others can hold me accountable], you win. I should’ve tracked down your IP Address and cyber-stalked you before attempting conversation.
Also I’m not sure what you’re identity has to do with J Boyega’s acting chops.
Like it or not, I share your realistic appraisal of Boyega’s ability, however I do think he CAN work as a SW character, all this having absolutely nothing to do with his alleged ethnicity.
So I half-agree with you.
sheesh
Do you not have anything better to do then try and troll this website kgb?
I am not kgb sorry. I’ve wrote stuff on here whilst exhausted and tired. Some I wish I hadn’t.
Don’t apologise for speaking your mind. Stand up for yourself. There are plenty of us who have the same ideas. And for good reason.
Here’s KGB’s top ten list of things that SUCK about TFA.
#1 TFA: Sucks as a title, the Ancient Fear was light-years better!
#2 Black Stormtroopers: Sucks because ST’s are all clones of Boba Fett.
#3 Diverse Empire: Sucks because the Empire wasn’t diverse in the OT.
#4 Captain Phasma: Sucks because men are knights not women.
#5 Female lead: Sucks because women make terrible action stars.
#6 Snoke: Sucks because this is the most idiotic name for a villain in Star Wars history.
#7 JJ Abrams: Sucks because he’s an overrated hack who’s never directed a great film in his entire career.
#8 Domhall Gleeson as The General and not Luke’s son: Sucks because this is a gigantic missed opportunity.
#9 John Boyega as co-lead: Sucks because John Boyega sucks; ’nuff said!
#10 Maz Kanata: Sucks because the character both looks ridiculous and is played by white guilt superstar Lupita N’yong.
Fellow Star Wars fans, please make your own contributions! Lets keep this thing going!

Stormtroopers are not al Clones of Fett by the time of the original trilogy. If they were explain how one is slightly taller and knocks his head in the Death Star. None of the others needed to duck….
#1: Well, that’s just your personal opinion, man.
#2: You call yourself a fan. Then why do you not realize that Stormtroopers are not clones of Jango Fett?
#3: Just because we didn’t saw female Imperial officers in the OT doesn’t mean there are no ones. Just because the OT came first doesn’t make it dogma. In their new canon, Lucasfilm makes it clear that there are women inthe Imperial military.
#4: In medieval Europe maybe, yes. But there were other cultures that had female knights or warriors.
#5: Ellen Ripley, Sarah Connor, Katniss Everdeen, Lara Croft just to name a few.
#6: OK, I agree that the name is up for debate, but it’s still just your opinion.
#7: This is also up for debate, but still your opinion.
#8: Are you a screenwriter? If not, then don’t tell Abrams and Kasdan what would have been better.
#9: Still your opinion and not a fact.
#10: We only had concept art of her, but not a definitive still from the movie. You can’t say her look sucks.
But since you are a bigotred racist and sexist or simply a bored troll with too much free time, I know that my response is pointless because you won’t stop with it. But let me just say that there is no place for such idiots like you in the Star Wars fandom. You’re kicked out of the club.
And the days of your kind of people are numbered. You’re a relict from a past that is long over.
Actually there is a place for dissenting opinions in any club. I know you have no official authority to kick him out regardless but he does have the right to say what he wants in regards to a fictional universe (which admittedly makes all of this ridiculous.) He’s also not alone in his opinions. Just because you don’t dig deep into what people believe out there. Doesn’t mean he is alone or “outdated.” Trying to push people aside as “relics” because they believe differently than you is a dangerous and even tyrannical view. Please don’t ever get into politics. It’s the likes of you which will bring us the gulag.
You just beat yourself at intellectual discourse. That must be easy for you.
The reply thing seems to not be working for me.
I think it will be fun seeing who lives outta the Trio of evil…Just Kylo? or all of em?
There was a casting battle for Fin between Boyega and Jesse Plemons of Breaking Bad TV series.
JJ chose Boyega for chemistry with the other two, like big 3 of OT.
Well, I… trust.. JJ’s judgement.
The chemistry is actually way more important than any degree of acting chops.
The Hayden – for example – could actually be a good actor, IDK, but in AOTC his chemistry with Padme and Obiwan, and Anakin, for that matter, was just at zero.
Carrie Fisher was completely wooden in her opening conversation with Lord Vader [sorry!] but when she’s onscreen with Mark Hamill and The Ford she just comes alive and surpasses her costars.
The Hayden did not.
So, Boyega, will he jive with Poe and Rey? or will he drag? I’m hoping the former.
I agree. People are judging him before they have even heard him talk in the film. I don’t here people complaining that Ridley just scowls.
The teaser was edited to set a certain tone. It was less than 2 minutes long. You simply can’t make huge leaps of logic based on this. Therefore there must be another reason for all the bile.
Snoke is actual y the surviving emperor palpatine from Jedi who did NOT die. He is zombie like and badly damaged. He can cheat death and has done because his ultimate real identity is Plagius. The story he told anakin was about himself. I know this to be true sorry if I’ve spoiled it to others.
I read a magazine article that Marquand was told by Lucas that Suprem Intellect has been controlling the destiny of Skywalkers over the years, who shows himself in ST. This theory could be taken over by Kasdan. Because Kasdan was also heavily involved in constituting the story for Return of the Jedi with Marquand and Lucas.
Yes, we have all “assumed” that Palpatine died because we saw a big flash of light and strong gust of wind. He could quite possibly have used unknown dark side powers to do the “unimaginable” and now he is finally revealing himself… again (Hence the “Force Awakens”)
On this issue I think ROTJ deserves to be defended.
ROTJ was always regarded as the lesser of the 3, but its ending is, I think, the highlight of the Saga.
The Ending Fight between the Dark Side of the Skywalkers and the Light is just so well acted and filmed and awesomed [yes, it’s a verb], that the completely BS morality system Sidious uses is almost forgiveable.
But really this is Darth Vader’s scene, and it completely encapsulates the mission of the Jedi. Anakin defeats Sidious, forsaking Darth Vader, giving his two children – the only shards of good in his life – a clean slate to build a new life.
It’s fucking poetry. That’s my life-mission. Make kids, give them a life, throw Hitler in a pit, die. Life lived.
Bringing back sidious wrecks this.
And therein lies the reality… No matter what we do to make a better life for our children, eventually they become young adults and must face the evils of life on their own. Whether Sidious returns, Plagueis is introduced or some other manifestation of the dark side appears, the offspring of Skywalker will face their own trials – quite painfully at times. I’m becoming more excited about the movies if this is how the plot develops… fingers crossed
yes ROTJ was always my favorite because of the jabba palace and rancor scenes. yoda and luke and of course the epic final duel with luke and vader and the emperor trying to pull him to the dark side. it is the most emotional scene in all of the films and i think it changed luke forever so now he will be very aware of the dark sides power
Please don’t just make crap up without backing it up. This is more wishful thinking.
“He could quite possibly” is obviously a suggestion, no need to get all self righteous now – we are discussing a make believe fantasy film after all…
In the original ROTS script Darth Plagueis was to be Palpatine’s mentor, but it’s left more ambiguous in the film (which is for the best – like the prequel trilogy needed more exposition).
My guess is:
– Snoke will be the puppet master in the shadows (much the same as Darth Sidious in the PT). Plotting the actions with a greater goal in mind, than handling with the rebels (Resistance, I mean)
– Kylo Ren will be Snoke’s executor arm as well as a threat figure for the New Order commanders (much like Darth Vader in the OT).
-Captain Phasma will have a similar role as the Inquisitors in the Rebels series, taking specific tasks the Sith Lords can’t personally handle, but under the command line of the New Order’s officers.
I always imagined that Vader’s place in the Empire was unoffical, but obviously one of great power and influence. For example, he had no rank, which drew official attention away from him and allowed him to get away with things that other Imperials may not have been able to do with the Senate watching their every move. Of course this all would have changed when the Senate was dissolved in ANH. He was definitely known by most as his presence demanded respect, fear, and obedience from others, but men like Tarkin and Tagge were high-ranking officers who at times had more political swing than Vader. But we all know who was the big baddy in the films, despite the setback of his unofficial capacity. In one way Vader was the second command in all the Empire, able to dispose of and appoint Admirals at will, while humbly following orders from Grand Moff Tarkin. I expect a similar thing with Kylo Ren in TFA. Hux and Phasma in an official capacity and Ren as the wild card that everyone respects, fears, and obeys regardless of rank.
What has Solo been up to for 30 years?
He joined a hokey religion.

is actually the surviving emperor palpatine who is badly damaged and zombie like. He did NOT die in Jedi. He is not a clone. He is and has always been darth plagius and that the story he told anakin was about himself.
After becoming accustomed to hearing the natural voices of Boyega and Ridley at Star Wars Celebration and at SDCC, it will be interesting if they speak in American English accents in the film. I wonder what that sounds like.
They will. Boyega has done it before. Not sure about Ridley.
Indeed. Lots of Brits in this movie. But then again, that’s true of every movie nowadays.

This man. He gets it.
He doesn’t get jack crap other than stating his personal views. This fool likes to act like he’s the posterboy of Star Wars fandom but he’s a terrible actor and director, as well as a terrible person. This guy is the epitome of all things wrong with certain people of the Star Wars fanbase, the type of person that I hate because he tries to force his views onto others and tries to pass off his opinions as facts (but they are clearly opinions). He doesn’t represent the Star Wars fanbase at all.
Just another irrational and delusional Gen X’er with misguided views of nostalgia!
The fact is that the Original Trilogy as stated by reviews from imdb, rotten tomatoes, and metacritic all have far better ratings and praise from general audiences and critics alike.
Anything else is personal opinion.
That is pure fact which cannot change.
CGI was the only thing done better in the PT and that’s mostly because the OT only had one CGI scene which was the hologram in RoTJ. Everything else was stop motion animation.
What a hack of a taletless loser who tries to speak for all Star Wars fans (using vitriol that many would not agree on). He doesn’t speak for me nor many others out here in SW fandom. The media needs to get its head out of their you-know-what and stop putting the spotlight on this fool wherever there is a Star Wars conversation. He doesn’t represent the SW fanbase at all.
And if you are not only in agreement with him, but also approve of his vitriol, then you are part of the problem that was plagued SW fandom (and your SW fandom should seriously come into question).
Wait…is vitriol a bad thing? Cause you just called a man who voiced his opinion as a “hack of a talentless loser”. Maybe your point is that vitriol is ok, unless it’s about something you like. I’m getting sick of these Simon Pegg hater/bashers, presenting their arguments about him as “fact”
It’s ok. These guys don’t get it. Unlike Simon! =D
I am wondering if knowing that Christie is Phasma will ruin a cool reveal in the film. I can just imagine seeing the Chrome Trooper taking names and then finding out its her, its going to be stellar, I am kind of wishing I went into it blind.
Not necessarily. For the sake of feminism, it’s a lot better if they don’t make a big deal out of a chick being a stormtrooper.
I just read an article in which Simon Pegg hints that there won’t be any more trailers till the movie comes out…
http://www.ibtimes.com.au/simon-pegg-hints-no-more-star-wars-force-awakens-trailer-until-films-release-1458627
Another reason to despise this hack of a poser: talking out of his you-know-what!
Someone sounds jealous.
Now that’s an interesting theory, T.
Rank in the higher levels of the Imperial system were whatever the Emperor said they were. Tarkin was clearly a favorite of Palpatine and enjoyed special privileged, a status confirmed in the “Tarkin” novel. Vader’s status was elevated after Tarkin’s death, as we can see in the second and third film… he was given the Executor, he was in authority over Admirals and task groups.
JJ promised a plan for misdirection to conceal the plot. Until I see GC in the chrome armor without the helmet, I’m going to assume that it isn’t her. The brief footage we’ve seen where the chrome trooper is moving, they don’t move like GC. The character’s posture in the vanity fair article it looks like a GC pose, but the proportions just don’t look quite right.
seriously?

“Chauvinistic pig. Go push your agenda elsewhere.”
But there was no agenda right when JJ/Disney opted to use a girl as the lead and her sidekick would be a black guy?
This is a radical departure from traditional Star Wars and mark my words, it will go down in history as a huge mistake.
You’re wrong. It’ll be the highest grossing film of all time.
Because most money made automatically means it’s the best. The thing is, there is a TON of hype for this movie. Everyone who is even half interested in film will watch it for the nostalgia or the whiz bang of it all. Doesn’t mean it’s a great film in the end though.
Big news via Rieekan from the Cantina… tickets for TFA to go on sale late September early October.
Will be shown on large format 70mm IMAX film @ the appropriate venues:

While I love all the theories on this site, I hope some are wrong, let me explain… I’m afraid the movie is going to be some kind of “star wars trilogy, thirty years later”… Here’s what I mean, with comparison… If the rumors are true, we’d have the super weapon (catapult/death star), the villain outside of the ranks (kylo/vador), the hero who doesn’t know who his father is and that he’s a jedi (rey/luke), the rogue pilot sidekick (poe/solo), the mysterious puppet master (andy serkis character/palpatine), the twins who don’t know they are (rey kylo/luke lea), the military dude (hux/tarkin), the quest of the bad guy (find luke’s saber/find luke), the master living alone in a forest (luke/yoda), the sand planet a the beggining (jakku/tatooine)… I could go on but you see my point. I’m sure it won’t be as I said, but I have the right to be suspious… But jj has the qualities to make a killer movie (Sorry for my english I’m from Belgium)
i agree it all looks exactly the same but after waiting so long i think it would be cool to see go back to its roots. i actually hope its like that. they can do whatever they want with the next movies but i kinda hope this one sets up the stage for a new trilogy but also has a lot of the old school elements to it
Rumour that Felicity Jones’s character in Roque One is the daughter of Bobba Fett. Can’t see it having much substance due to the timeline discrepancy. Having Bobba Fett in the movie instead would be a way better idea.

greed with the General Hux being Lukes son …..He is to old to be a general and is an undercover jedi looking to destroy both weapons ..like Gleeson said “General Hux is evil”…like darth veader not Anakin..they are doing a lot based on the EU…Jason didn’t turn to the darkside until about 30 yrs later Jiana is a badass…ben does have a real good moral compass and kinda went uner cover in the EU aswell.Luke went into exile.snoke is plagues to and he made Anakin that’s why the skywalkers battle with the darkside so much because they were made from it…And that’s why that deleted scence from jedi of Vader speaking to luke threw thought needs to be in the final cut…so many implacations in that 30 second scene wouldn’t that be awesome if Hux was the undercover skywalker jedi son…
That was considered for a time by such people as myself and Jason but the evidence that has come out since then doesn’t really support it. It would raise way too many plot holes. Like it or not Hux is a general.
As has been mentioned elsewhere there are several examples of famous young generals especially if one has talent and ambition in a turbulent time. Perhaps the most famous example would be Napoleon Bonaparte who rose to general at around the age of 26 in the aftermath of the French Revolution. Other generals such as say General Custer got their star at the age of 27. Winfield Scott, who I consider to be one of the greatest commanders to have ever lived, was 27 when he made general. The idea of generals have to be old probably stems from the American policy of promoting generals by seniority until John J. Pershing earned the patronage of Roosevelt. Very young generals are rather uncommon but not unheard of.
During the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan was a General, and Anakin was a Jedi Knight. I think it’s probable that Anakin became a General in his own right, after turning to the Dark Side. A “Grand Moff” is essentially a fancy title instead of Governor, and Vader would’ve been Tarkin´s highest ranking/most trusted General.
Kylo Ren is no doubt a Sith. A Sith Lord perhaps. But I don’t think he holds a rank within the First Order chain of command. I think Hux distrusts Kylo Ren, and has Captain Phasma keep tabs both on the Sith Lord, as well as tasked with locating individuals like Finn.
He is referred to as General Skywalker in TCW which is canon. I agree on Moff = Governor albeit Tarkin wasn’t so much a governor as someone who oversaw the entire Outer Rim. Makes me wonder what sort of guy was Grand Moff of the Inner Rim which you would think would be a more prestigious post. Again if Vader had a rank he would be referred to as his rank not as “Lord Vader.” Vader’s power came not from a chain of command but from his position as the right hand of the Emperor
I’ve been trying to think of a solid real world example the best I’ve got is comparing the SS to the regular German army. Vader is the SS because he answers directly to Palpatine while regular Imperial soldiers answer to their immediate superior. It’s not the best example because SS did have a chain of command structure it was just independent of the Main German army. A German general had virtually no control over the SS, and if he tried to fight it he would raise the ire of Hitler himself. I also debated using the Praetorian guard who were somewhat similar to the SS but they often held power over the Emperor which Vader of course did not have.
My one problem with snoke being plagueis is that the big bad guy of the trilogy would be a muun, I’m sorry but they look so dumb and not bad ass at all…I know Lucas wanted Plagueis to be muun and he is a muun in the novel by james luceno (which is Legends now) but I don’t know if there’s any actual canon that says he’s muun..it would be cooler if they just came up with an original alien species that looks totally bad ass…his action figure wouldn’t be canon right?

Yeah, I’m just saying Sidious literally coming back, himself, sheev palpatine, would be a bit dumb, they already killed him, they should just find a new a-hole.
When Hitler shot himself, he didn’t fake his death or come back or whatever, he just sort of stayed dead like a normal person.
This is not to say America had no one to fight. As soon as Hitler was done in, America still had Russia to deal with.
BOOM > Sequel.
they already did the one gag, and it’s really time for them to move on to the next gag.
PS, this reply is mis-assigned to a completely different conversation. Sorry.
I dont get it…
In ESB, Luke lost his lightsabre on Bespin in Cloud City when Darth Vader cut his hand off.
No doubt that lightsabre fell like Luke did, and got dumped out the hatch at the bottom, to ultimately fall to the surface of the planet Bespin, which the cloud city is floating in the atmosphere above.
By ROTJ, Luke has put together a new sabre for himself.
So what I don’t get is.. how does Luke’s lightsabre end up floating in orbit above Jakku when it should be on Bespin somewhere.
On the other hand, when Luke cut off Darth’s hand at the climax of ROTJ, Darth’s sabre would have been left somewhere on the super star destroyer (which then crashed into the Deathstar II and exploded), so that sabre could be floating around in space along with the wreckage from the battle of Endor.
So who’s sabre is it then?? Is it Darth Vader’s sabre floating in space, or did Luke lose his 2nd sabre some time after ROTJ as well?! (eg: Luke fought at battle of Jakku and must have lost it there)
Any ideas? Anyone?
