I was hoping for some cool event in London, so I already bought flights to and from London for the opening weekend. Now I only need to get movie tickets…

This was a great episode, I love both Kristian and Mark, but it was funny when Kristian was interviewing the author of Lost Stars – as much as he was lauding the book and her writing, he did feel inadvertantly poo-poo the broad YA genre which the author almost exclusively works in.
He pulled it back in the end though, and I think she was fine with where he was coming from.

P.S. I want Gugu Mbatha-Raw to be Lando’s daughter ( I could totally buy her as Billy Dee’s daughter ). Episode 8 is the right time to introduce his progeny, and she’d be a great new, terrific Calrissian!

Lost Stars is far and away the best book to come out of the new EU. I wish the other Star Wars would take their job as seriously as she does, I’m not even sure any of them ever passed a HS English class. I don’t know why but there seems to be a higher success rate among YA Star Wars novels than there are among the “adult” novels. Probably since the short page count doesn’t let them get too self-indulgent with their descriptions and dialogue like Troy Denning and John Jackson Miller were legendary for.

Best part is that the book leaves room open for a sequel which I presume would take place during the new trilogy.

Great episode. I really enjoyed the fact that the ripping of the PT was kept to a minimum and a statement acknowledging that there are actual fans of the PT exist.
